A Guide to Outdoor Events in Lisbon

How to Get to Your Outdoor Event in Lisbon

Some cities have metro maps that give you a sore head at first sight. Lisbon has four metro lines, which means you don’t need to take half an hour to make sense of the network map. To make things easy, each line has its own colour and is named after the terminal station.

One thing you have to admire about Lisbon’s metro system is its intuitiveness. Unlike some cities where it takes half an hour to decipher which line is going where, Lisbon has 4 lines, each with its own colour.

It runs from 6.30 am to 1 am daily. It’s relatively cheap as well, with a 24-hour pass costing €6 and a single costing only €1.90. For a more comprehensive reach of all the city’s corners, the bus network has you covered, it goes everywhere and anywhere and costs only €1.80 for a single.

And finally, there are the iconic Cacilheiro ferries. There are three ferry terminals sitting on the mighty river Tagus, which are all interconnected with the bus and metro network. The Cacilheiro will take you to the southern bank of the river to places like Cacilhas, Seixal and Montijo and only costs you €1.25 for a single!
