The Best Boutique Hotels in Amsterdam

Whether you’re here on a business trip, attending an event or just touring town for leisure, Amsterdam has some great boutique hotels that we recommend checking out (or in!).

The city centre is home to uniquely designed hotels that offer excellent service, plush rooms and swanky restaurants. They’re also perfectly located near iconic sites and public transport so that you can chill after a busy day of “Amsterdam-ing”. Take a look at our top five below.

Located in the heart of the city, this modern hotel offers comfort and tranquillity in an upscale environment. Furnished with designer pieces that create a rustic, yet glamorous ambience, it’s ideal for guests attending business events around town.

Be sure to visit their popular restaurant: it’s the perfect mix of great food, live music and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s also an ideal spot for your after-work drinks!

The Dylan Amsterdam

Positioned in Amsterdam’s charming historic centre, this boutique hotel is a stylish option for business travellers. Every room oozes luxury: from lavish bathrooms (plush bathrobe and slippers included, of course!) to mouth-watering dishes in their Michelin-starred restaurant.

If you don’t fancy going out (although we highly recommend it), burn off tension at the in-house fitness centre or check out the hotel’s stunning views of both the Keizersgracht and private gardens.

The Hoxton
Colourful room with parquet flooring and a playful interior with blue walls and furniture with a retro look

It’s no exaggeration when we say that this hotel is the palatial destination. Once the home of Amsterdam’s mayor, it’s now one of the swankiest places in town.

Each room has unique furnishings and design, with beautifully restored period features. However, all rooms have points in common: brass chandeliers, hexagonal mirrors and timber herringbone flooring.

They offer different sized rooms depending on your needs, and most of them have a great view of the canals on either side of the building. Make sure to visit their neighbourhood-friendly restaurant that serves brasserie-style dishes and some fab cocktails!

Kimpton De Witt Hotel
Luminous hotel room with white walls and ceiling. Furnished with minimalist furniture in soft colours

Are you looking for an indulgent chill spot in Amsterdam’s city centre? This chic boutique hotel hits the mark.

Flaunting old and new Dutch design, this Renaissance-era building exudes dramatic, minimalistic flair. You’ll find stark white walls, a maze of contemporary millwork and simple yet stylish décor throughout.

Feel free to hit the fitness centre and relax in the bar after a day in this hotel’s inspiring meeting spaces. If you’re looking for something more private, each room includes a complimentary yoga mat. Another great perk – it’s just a stone’s throw away from Centraal Station, making this trip hassle-free.

Park Plaza Vondelpark
Cosy hotel with a retro look. Yellow and brown colour accents

Discover this little oasis in Amsterdam’s upscale neighbourhood, Oud-Zuid. This hotel offers a stunning view of Vondelpark, where you can take long walks, feed the birds and even organise a picnic (the hotel staff are experts!). Their rooms are luxuriously furnished, with Egyptian cotton bedding and a carefully coordinated colour scheme.

You’ll find all the amenities you need if you’re visiting Amsterdam for business or leisure (or even for bleisure?). There’s a private garden, a fitness centre and WiFi throughout. Don’t miss out on their excellent Italian bar & restaurant, that serves Venetian style dining – a truly unforgettable experience.
