The Cocoa Journey is on a side street of the Grand Place. A mere 47m from the historic square, making it a truly quintessential Brussels event.

Concept Chocolate began in 1986 when Frank Duval opened the original factory in the centre of Brussels.

It wasn’t until 1990 when he decided to move the chocolate factory to a former theatre at 19 Rue de Chardons. Located just north of the city centre, 15,000 people go out of their way for the experience each year.

Concept specialises in team building workshops as well as family & friends workshops that start from €53. Their sessions consist of factory tours and hands-on learning with tasting sessions in between.

Concept chocolate goes beyond chocolate as a tasty treat. They suggest how to best pair chocolate with beer and wine, and even offer separate beer and wine tasting sessions.

You can see Concept Chocolates superb work on their Instagram while you count down the days until you can taste it for yourself!

Salon du Chocolat is the world’s largest event dedicated to chocolate and cocoa! With over 100 participants, the biggest names get involved. It’s the place to be for new trends and products.

The exhibition takes place at Tour & Taxis. It is a large former industrial site situated on the Brussels Canal in the City of Brussels, just northwest of the city centre.

As well as workshops, there are exhibitions and sculptures, a demo stage with a line-up of top chefs, a chocolate fashion show, talks, and tastings.

In the sad case that you can’t make one of the three days, check out their Instagram to see what you’ve missed!

Wrapping up!

Your time in Brussels will be all the more enjoyable by spending a couple of hours with your guests or colleagues making your own chocolates. And if you want to burn all the chocolate off afterwards, you could take a walk in one of these parks in Brussels.

We hope it goes well, and that you have fun. And if worst comes to worst, you can always buy some chocolate at the airport on the way home!
