How Eventflare Delivered the GASA Europe Summit 2026 in Lisbon
by Micaela Navarro, 13 August 2026Updated 17 August 2026
When the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA) approached Eventflare in search of a Lisbon home for its Europe Summit, the brief was ambitious from day one: a 2-day conference with a full build-up day, 500–700 delegates, a plenary stage, an expo floor with 10 partner booths, four to five breakout rooms, boardrooms, plus catering and AV, all under one quote.
GASA is the international alliance leading the fight against scams, and its summits bring together the professionals, platforms, and partners working to protect consumers worldwide. For the European edition, held on 9–10 June 2026, they needed more than a venue. They needed a 360-degree event partner on the ground in Lisbon.
How Convento do Beato Became the Right Stage

From the very first call, Eventflare's local Lisbon team curated a shortlist of large-capacity venues that could carry the scale and character the summit demanded, comparing dry-hire flexibility against full-service convenience, and arranging availability checks and site visits so the client could experience each option first-hand.
The winner was the Convento do Beato, a historic monastery converted into one of Lisbon's most striking contemporary event spaces, and a venue Eventflare knows intimately, having produced large-scale conferences there before.
Its mix of grandeur and flexibility made it the natural fit for a summit that needed a plenary stage, an expo floor, breakouts, and boardrooms to live side by side across two intense days.
Production From the Ground Up

- A keynote stage with a tailored seating design and 65" relay monitors so no delegate missed a moment
- An expo area with sponsor booths, partners including VISA and ScamAdviser, with Eventflare collecting, reviewing, and validating every sponsor's artwork before it went to print
- Breakout rooms and boardrooms configured across the venue
- Bespoke signage and directional totems, checked line-by-line against the client's designs
- Catering for two full conference days plus a cocktail, negotiated and fine-tuned directly in Portuguese as headcounts evolved
Sweating the Small Stuff

Great events are won in the details, and the weeks before the summit were full of them. The team caught missing sponsor artwork files before they became on-site surprises, flagged signage discrepancies between instructions and designs, refined the presentation of the water stations, and slotted in last-minute AV additions like extra video displays, all resolved before doors opened.
Beyond the Live Days
The summit's value didn't end when the lights went down. Eventflare recorded every keynote and breakout session, uploading Day 1 and Day 2 content and handing it over to GASA's marketing team, who put the recordings and AI transcriptions straight to work in their newsletter.
Around the summit itself, Eventflare also organised a GASA Board Dinner on the build-up day and a Day 1 dinner for the summit, extending the experience beyond the conference floor.
Results and Impact
The GASA Europe Summit 2026 was delivered as planned on 9–10 June at Convento do Beato, venue, production, expo, catering, and content capture, coordinated end to end by a single local team.
The clearest measure of success came within a week of the summit: GASA asked Eventflare to support its future summits.
Wrapping Up
From a first inquiry in May 2025 to delivery in June 2026, the GASA Europe Summit shows what a well planned, 360-degree partnership looks like in practice: one local team handling venue, production, sponsors, catering, and content, so the client could focus on their mission.
When the anti-scam community gathers again in San Francisco in September 2026, Eventflare will be right there with them.
